Now I know that the first Christmas card was designed by Mr Horsley for Sir John Cole in 1843 but I cannot find who he sent the first ever card to.

Can anyone help me out please ?

Funnily enough I am looking for the answer to this also, that’s how I stumbled across this page!

I am having difficulty finding out too, I am trying to complete a Christmas quiz for work.

Sorry I can’t help but I will be keeping a lookout, so If I find out before you do, – I’ll let you know.

    Good Luck.

    EDIT:
Found it – Sir John Cole sent the first card back to John Callcott Horsley! check this link:

Thats the answer I will use anyway.
